The bar chart illustrates the frequency of eating at fast food restaurants in the US in three years 2003, 2006 and 2013.
It can be seen the percentage of people who ate once a week and those who ate once or twice a month had the highest value in all three years. People who claimed they ate once a week increased (2 to 3%) in 2006 in comparison to 2003, however, this number decreased to almost 27% later in 2013. The number of people who claimed they ate once or twice a month dropped to 25% in 2006, however, it went up again in 2013 and reached to almost 33%.
It seems the number of people who ate every day and those who never ate at a fast food restaurant showed a small change and fluctuated between 4 to 5 percent. However, the numbers in both groups declined between the years 2003 and 2006 and then it remained steady.
The number of people who ate several times a week has been ranked in the third place in all three years. It can be seen this number reached a peak in 2006 with 20% and again fell down to almost 16% as it was in 2003.
And last but not least, the number of people who ate at fast food restaurants a few times a year has been placed it the fourth place in all three years and fluctuated between 13 and 15 percent, however, it does not show so much changes between the year 2006 and 2013.
