Below is the map of Canterbury town. There is a plan of building a new school in this town where two possible sites (S1 and S2) have been proposed.

The map shows two potential locations (S1 and S2) for a new school in the town called Canterbury. The main difference between two sites is that S1 located in the south of Canterbury whereas S2 is in the west of that town. Moreover, The sites can also be compared in terms of amenities around both of them.

Looking at the information in more detail, S1 positioned in the southern town center is placed in zone that has no congestion. However, s2 is located in countryside area which is in to the north-west of town center.

Turning to other comparisons, There are two difference main roads around the sites proposed. While, S2 is closer to Sturry which has distance around 5 km from town center and has 7000 people in that place, S2 is near of Chartham –7 km from town center– having 4500 populations. In addition, these potential locations are positioned around the housing of Canterbury town. S1 in the border of residential areas although S2 is placed in the center of residential location. Nevertheless, the exception is university located in the north of the town which has a far distance from two new schools planned.
