Six pie charts demonstrates the data regarding the proportion of water used for three factors in five continents.
As can be seen from the charts the usage of water has similar pattern in North America and Europe. The fraction for industrial usage of water is with the highest numbers : the former is accounted for 49%, the latter for 53%. Consequently, water allocated for agriculture and home is consumed together in almost equal percent of industrial but in reverse pattern - 52% in North America and 47% in Europe.
Similarly, three other parts of the world - Africa, Central and South West Asia - use water likewise. Agriculture makes up a particularly large portion in terms of consumption of water in all terrains(approximately 84%), while industry and house needs play a minor role in usage of water(about 7% in average). On the other hand, while South America has similarity in usage with this group, the percentages are quite different - agricultural usage is 71%, which leads to the fact that two other options are between 10% and 20% .
Overall, developed countries devote most of their water in industry, whereas developing areas are tend to use water more for agriculture.
