The chart describes the total number of population in Japan from 1950 to 2055, and the table depicts the total ageing population, also the ratio over total population for past, present and future.
Overall, the earlier Japanese population was growing gradually and in future, it will decline massively. There was an increase in the population of people whose age is over 65 and predicts to climb up till the end of the period.
According to the charts, in 1950 japan population was 84.1 million, where the over-aged people covers 4.9 percentage of total and 4.1 million in the count. There was a constant inclination in number till 2005 and it was increased by almost 40 million, it was the maximum population within the period. Also, the ageing population was 5 times more than earlier,which was a fifth of the total. Afterwards the slight decline in the population for a decade by 2 million.
In future, Japan will reduce population rapidly till 2055, at the end of the period it will have approximately 5 million more population than the people in 1950. The number of people over 65 jump up by 14 percentage in 2035 and impose more than a third of the total population, which will be the significant population of aged people. Also, after 2 decades the total aged population declined by a million but the population covers 41% of the total.
