The bar chart provides information about the percentages of young people who live in rented housing or are owner-occupiers in UK from 2004 to 2014 . From the first glance at the data, we can see a opposite trend, which are the decreasing of the home owners and the increasing of the renters.
Taking a closer look at the bar chart, what can be drawn out is that the popularization of buying house was replaced by renting house. Within a decade, the ratio of home owners fell down considerably from just under 60 percent to just over one in three. On the other hand, the proportion of renters was approximately 20 percent in 2004; however, this percentage reached an high over ten years, with a rise of about a half. In addition, in two years, 2011s and 2012s, the number of young people buying houses and leasing houses was equivalent values.
