The chart below gives information about trends in internet use by females in the USA in two years.
The chart shows that the percetage of females uses the Internet between 2000 and 2001 for different age groups in the USA.
For the year 2000, It can be shown that the proportion of females who use the Internet rose dramtatically for age group 12-15 to 90%. There was a slight fall in the for age group 16-18 just under the 90%. The same kind of flow can be seen between the age group 19-24, 25-35 and 36-45, 46-55 at 80%, slight below 80% and 65% , slight below 65% respectively whereas the dramtic fall found for the age 56-55 and over 65 approximately at 43% and 20% repectively.
For the year 2001, There was a peak at 100% for the age16-18 where the usage starts from 90% for the age group 12-15 and then the percentages of females who uses the Internet remained stable between age groups 19-24 an 25-35. Subsequently, there was slight peak at 82% for the age group 36-45 and then there was a downturn till the 30% for the age group 65+.
Overall, It can be seen that the genral trend is downword in usage of the Internet by the feamles for the both year 2000 and 2001.
