The bar chart describes the proportion of the UK people in spending money on charity, divided into five age groups, in two different years, 1990 and 2010. In overview, in 1990, residents of the first three age groups (18-25, 26-35, and 36-50 years old) were recorded to be more charitable than two other age groups (51-65 and over 65 years old), while in 2020, the surveyed data was otherwise.

In more details, in 1990, people aged from 18 to 25 years old were ten percent higher than those in 2020 in providing money to charity, accounted by around 17% in 1990 and 7% in 2020. Further, there was an upward trend in elderly donators by about 43% of citizens aged 36-50 years old, being the highest percentages among all age groups. Meanwhile, a downward trend was shown in the quantity of people in UK aged over 50 years old in contributing their money for charity purposes, surveyed by 35% people aged 51-65 years old and about 32% people aged over 65 years old.

In another surveyed year, in 2020, the progression of charity donators gradually increased from above 5% people aged from 18-25 years old until almost 40% people in the age group of 51-65 years old, being the highest amount among all five age groups. However, its percentage dramatically decreased by 35% of the UK people in giving money to charity.
