The diagram given compares the proportion of money donated by British in terms of different age group in 2 separate year 1990 and 2020.
Overall, in 1990 and 2020, the people in 36 - 50 years old group and 51 -65 years old spent higher amount of money on charity in comparison to the other groups. It is also clear that people from 18 to 50 spent less money on this work in 2010 than in 1990.
It can be observed that while in 1990, there was approximately 17% of the British giving money to charity, the figure in 2010 for this age group decreased significantly to 7%. The proportion of the British from 26 to 35 donated was a little more than 30% in 1990, then fell to 24% in 2010. The people in 36-50 years old group witnessed the highest proportion of participants that was more than 40% in 1990. However, this figure decreased to 35% in 2010.
When it comes to two other age groups, 51-65 years old group and the British being older than 65 both expanded the proportion of participants for charity purpose. There was 40% of 51 to 65 years old group donating in 1990 before it rose to nearly 40% in 2010. In terms of the people getting older than 65, the figure in 1990 and 2010 were 33% and 35% respectively.
