The bar chart provides detailed information about how many hours a day men and women who get married in two different age group have to work in a company. Looking more closely at the graph, it is obvious from the data that the number of men's working hours is more than that of women, but it is the opposite in total working hours.
With ages between 24 and 44 years, the working duration of husbands in a company at 7 hours is higher than wives' by approximately 1.5 hours per day. Women, however, have twice as the hours of unpaid work at home as their husbands. As a result, the sum of these two working hours of wives is 2 hours higher than that of husbands.
The pattern of hours spending in work above aged 45 years is the same as the younger group's. The hours worked in paid job by men are more than women's, while housework is more done by wives at 1 and 2 hours respectively. It is interesting to note that the number of females' total hours between the two age groups is the same at 11 hours a day.
