Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The bar chart illustrates the averages number of hours that married couples in different age groups work everyday at home and at work. Overall, while paid work takes men more time than women, wives are busier with unpaid work than husbands.
The time married men aged 24-44 and 45-64 years old spending daily for paid work is approximately triple than that for work inside the home. Compare with women, they not only use their time at home and at work more equally but also work harder in total hours than man in each period.
Although married women at the age of 45-64 work at home about 1 hour less than women aged 24-44 years old, they do paid work almost equally to men at the same age. Furthermore, the total work time of the 45-64 year old wives is the largest one, which accounts for around 11 hours per day. Whereas, these figures for husbands in both age groups are just 9 and 8 hours respectively.
