The chart below shows the changes that took place in three different areas of crime in New Port city center from 2003-2012.

The line chart illustrates the crime in New Port city such as burglary, car theft, and robbery between 2003 to 2012. Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that burglary declined dramatically and were replaced as the most common crime by car thefts, which fell slightly overall. Robberies were least common throughout yet and rose marginally.
In 2003, the number of incidents in burglary stood at 3,400. This figure increase at 3,750 the next year before it decreased significantly to a low point of 1,100 in 2008 and remained this level until the end of the period. In contrast, car thefts began at 2,800 and dipped to 2000 in 2006. The following period, it increased with minor fluctuations to 2,750 by 2012.
The least common crime was robbery. Statics indicated just over 500 robberies in 2003 and slightly increased to 800 in 2004, before it ends at 700 in 2012.
