The line graph illustrates information about New Port citizens who had a percentage of offense that changed over ten years starting in 2003.
Overall, the rate of breaking the law showed a downward trend in burglary and car theft. On the contrary, the figures of robbery remained unchanged over the whole survey period.
At the beginning, the number of thieves was under 3500. A year later, it reached the highest point at about 3600. After 4 years, these figures slumped from 3600 to 1100. Until the end of the period, there was no change between 1100 and 1500. Moreover, the number of car thieves began nearly 2600. Afterwards, it dropped slightly by 6% in 2006, and it went on climbing again by 6% in 2010. These figures declined to roughly 2400 in 2012.
With regard to robbery, it maintained constantly at 600 during the entire time period. The difference in the ratio was not large, which stood at 700 in 2005 and 500 in 2008, respectively. Robberies experienced a similar ratio to those in the first year in the final year.
