The chart below shows the different levels of post school qualifications in Australia and the proportion of men and women who held them in 1999.

The bar chart depicts the different level of education which Australian men and women opted during the year 1999. Looking at the overall trend it is clearly visible that majority of the female remain ahead in comparison to male until Bachelor’s degree.

It is clearly visible that majority of the male student nearly 90% of them opted for skilled vocational diploma, on the contrary very few female opted this. Instead 70% of female prefer to join undergraduate diploma, where in male are nearly half of them. On the other hand in Bachelor’s degree male students gradually increase and touch the level of 45% whereas 55% female population opted for degree.

While in Postgraduate diploma, there is huge surge in male who overtook this level and nearly 70% opted for this, on the contrary only 30% of females opted for this. Finally when it comes to Master’s degree males were at 60% whereas nearly 40% female opted for Master’s degree.
