The chart below shows how frequently people in the USA ate in fast food restaurants between 2003 and 2013.

The bar chart gives information about how often Americans consumed fast food in restaurants from 2003 to 2013.
Overall, the proportion of people who ate fast food in their daily meals accounted for the lowest. In both 2003 and 2006, most US people ate once a week, while it changed in 2013 when people ate once or twice a week.
In 2003 and 2006, the number of people who consumed fast food once a week accounted for over 30%, while the proportion of consumption had a slight decrease to around 27%. Eating once or twice a week, 5% of people ate fast food more in 2013 than in 2006. But in the last period, the figure significantly rose to over 33% which was the highest number on the chart.
The proportion of people who had fast food as a meal several times a year was in-between 13%-15%. Daily eaters and those who never ate in fast food establishments before made up for very small percentages, between 3% and 5%. After fluctuating, the proportion of people who ate several a year had a reduction of nearly 5%.
