Essay topics:

The chart below shows how frequently people in the USA ate in fast food restaurants between 2003 and 2013.

The given bar chart illustrates the figures for the frequency of having junk foods at the restaurants of American people from 2003 to 2013.

It can clearly be seen that there was a slightly downward movement from once per week to once or twice per month which American residents went outside to eat at a restaurant over the period of ten years.

Looking at the information in more detail, the highest point of frequency was recorded once a week in the year of 2003 and 2006 (31% and 33%, respectively). In 2003, the lowest frequency had a fairly equal proportion between people never eating outside and people eating at restaurants on a daily basis, which at roughly 5%. In 2006, the percentage of eating once per week showed a significant increase to around 38% while that of once or twice per month saw a sharp fall to about 25%.

As illustrated, at the end of the investigated period, the figures for going outside every day for eating and never eating at restaurants remained stable (approximately 3% and 4%, correspondingly). In contrast, the highest category belonged to the group of once or twice per month in the same year, which accounted for about 33%. Also, this figure was twice as high as that for the group of several times per week (nearly 16%).
