The data in the chart depicts the comparison between average residential cost in several cities namely New York, Madrid, Frankfurt, Tokyo and London in the time period of 1990-1995 and 1989.

Overall, approximately, maximum rise and minimum drop in house prices had been occured in London and Tokyo while slight change in fall or rise in house prices was being there in Madrid and Frankfurt.

Cost of homes in the New York had decreased to 5% in the five-year period from 1990 to 1995 and increased by the same percent in 1996 to 2002. In the same way, Prices in London upsurged to around 12% in year range 1996-2002. Conversely, it dipped to 7% in 1990 to 1995 compared to prices in 1982.

On the other hand, average house prices never augmented in the year range 1996-2002 but only decreased in Tokyo. It was reduced to roughly 7% between 1990-1995, inclusive and 5% in 1996-2002. Besides, residential living cost had always ballooned in the entire time period from 1990 to 2002 by approximately 2%.
