The line graph compares different countries in Europe in terms of using fuel in the transport sector from 2009 to 2010.
Overall, it can be seen that the biggest amount of fuel was consumed by Slovakia, while the smallest was Greece. Additionally, the EU Average fuel proportion was higher than other countries except Slovakia.
In 2009, Slovakia accounted for just under 9% and it declined slightly to 6.5% after one year. By contrast, the same uptrend was witnessed in Italy and France, ending at over 5% and 4% in 2010, respectively. In 2009, the proportion of EU average was just below Slovakia and added Italy at the end of this period.
Although other countries had a fluctuation, Austria's fuel use remained stable in both years. The amount of fuel in Spain and Greece had an opposite trend. While Greece increased 1%, the population using fuel in Spain decreased 3% in 2010. The EU average was higher than 3 countries in 2009 and just below Spain in 2010.
