The chart below shows the number of male and female research students studying six-related subjects at a UK university in 2009
The given chart illustrates how many boys and girls participated in reasearching six different science-related subjects at a university in the UK in 2009.
As can be inferred from the data, the number of students taking part in studying Biology was the highest. Additionally, male pupils tended to have a interest in the subjects than the female, except for Veterinary medicine.
There were almost 250 boys carried out Biology, while the number of girls was 200 students. A similar pattern could be seen in the figure for Medicine, whereas the number of male and female researchers were 200 students and about 180 students respectively. In terms of Physics, the discrepancy between two genders was huge as the number of male students was relatively four fold that of female.
Astronomy and Geology were studied by the same number of boys (150 students), whereas the number of girls was roughly 60 students and about 90 students in turn. Only the figure for Veterinary medicine witnessed the number of girls being higher than that of boys by about 20 students.
