The chart below shows the number of passengers who used public transport in Somewhere town from 2012 to 2015.
The chart represents the number of people who used 3 public transportation services(tram, bus and trains) in a town of Somewhere from the year 2012 to 2015. This report will evaluate the data given.
Overall, the use of tram grew a lot and became popular at the end of the period. Furthermore, the demand of trains declined throughout the period whereas buses were still used widely by the public.
In 2013, around 20,000 people used tram to commute which later increase dramatically and ended up having around 90,000 passengers in 2015. Although, more than 75,000 people used trains in 2012, this figure dropped instantly around 12,000 after 1 year. Surprisingly, this figure experienced a huge increase after 2016 and successfully reached around 63,000 in 2015.
In terms of bus, it was the second most used public transport in 2012 with more than 50,000 passengers. However, this amount declined in 2013 where less than 50,000 people preferred this service. This figure, then increase to a high of approximately 70,000 in 2014 before it declined to its initial level.
