The bar chart compare the number of rented and owned houses in two different countries from 1920 to 2015.

Overall, it can be clearly seen that people used to rent houses rather than buying them but after 1972, they started to buy more houses and owned that properties.

For the households which lived in an owned accommodation had, the trends seem to be upward from which it started only at above 20% and rose gradually since then reaching up to nearly 90%. While its percentage dropped down quite a bit after 2000,it is more numerous if compared to the rented ones.

Meanwhile the households which are being rented experience a downward trend. The way in which the trend decreased is quite similar to the other graph but in the end of the year, the percentage increased rather than decreasing like the other figures. In detail it started at 78% which then fall down as time went, where it even reach the same percentage count than that of the owned one and hit its lowest in 2000 with only slightly higher than 30% and had been gradually increased after that.
