This bar graph elucidates the information about owned and rented household accommodation in England and Wales between 1918 and 2001. The figures are given in proportion.

According to the graph, highest accommodations were rented in 1918 whereas highest owned accommodations were in 2001. In 1918, owned accommodations were just below one quarter and were inclined by 10% till 1939. While till next 14 years figure was stable. Thereafter, in 1961, owners of accommodation rose by 9% and were kept on inclining till 1991.

Moving towards the rest of the graph, minuscule inclining difference was observed in the year of 2001 in owners however, till next 10 years and it again dropped off. Furthermore, rented accommodations devaluated dramatically from 1953 to 2001. While from 2001 to 2011, rented accommodations rose again by 3%.

All in all, with the passage of time, rented accommodations decreased and owned accommodations inclined.
