The chart presented above shows the outcome of a survey which was aimed at understanding how the residents of 5 Australian cities - Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Hobart drink tea or coffee in the last 1 month.
A quick glance at the chart gives us a general idea that residents of Sydney are in the lead when it comes to the purchase of fresh coffee, while residents of Brisbane are the least in that category. The purchase of instant coffee is seen to be most popular among Brisbane residents, while Sydney doesn’t purchase so much coffee in this category. The habit of going to the cafe for tea or coffee is seen to be most common among Melbourne residents, and not so common among Adelaide residents.
In the analysis of specific figures, it can be seen that a little less than 35% of the residents of Brisbane and Adelaide fancy the idea of purchasing fresh coffee, while between 40% - 45% of the residents of Sydney and Melbourne purchase fresh coffee. It is clear that the majority of the surveyed population across the 3 of the 5 cities enjoy going to the cafe for tea or coffee as the chart shows that above 60% of the population of Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart, about 55% of Brisbane, and about 50% of Adelaide prefer going to the cafe.
It is noteworthy that residents of 4 of the 5 surveyed countries show a similar trend in their preferences for fresh, instant, and cafe-purchased coffee or tea except for Adelaide.
