The bar chart compares the number of people’s preferences in buying and drinking coffee in five Australian cities.
Over the last month, the majority of the people surveyed went to a cafe for their refreshments. In this manner, 60% of inhabitants in Sydney, Hobart and Melbourne had coffee in a cafe in the last 4 weeks. However, people who bought fresh or instant coffee accounted for less than 45% and 55% respectively with Brisbane and Adelaide depicting the lowest percentage of people that bought fresh coffee.
By contrast, slightly more people preferred buying instant coffee than having it in a cafe in Adelaide. Thus, 50% of city residents had instant coffee in the last 4 weeks, while approximately 49% of them ordered it in a restaurant, and being the only city where this group dominates over people consuming it in a cafe.
Overall, although Adelaide is the only city where people consumed mostly instant coffee, the majority of Australian dwellers like having it in a cafe.
