Essay topics:

The chart below shows the results of a survey about people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities.

The given bar chart compares the coffee and tea preferences of people in five different cities in Australia in the last four weeks.
Overall, it is clear that while Adelaide was the only city that saw buying instant coffee as the most common alternative, the most popular option in the other four cities was to go to a café to get a drink.
The figures for Sydney and Melbourne were almost the same, both cities experienced the lowest figures in the percentage of people buying fresh coffee in the last four weeks, at about 43%, compared to the approximate number of 45% of people purchasing instant coffee. The proportions of people going to a café for coffee or tea were highest in these two cities, both at over 60%. In Hobart, under 40% of the people asked in the survey bought fresh coffee, whereas the figures for the other two categories were considerably higher, at under 55% for instant coffee and 65% for getting to a café.
Regarding Brisban, the lowest point of 33% was seen in the percentage of people opting for fresh coffee, which was about 20% fewer than those buying instant one and going to a coffee shop. On the other hand, instant coffee was the best choice in Adelaide, at 50%, while the figures for people choosing fresh coffee and a drink in the café were only 33% and 39%, respectively.
