four types of tourist attraction in Britain in the year 1999.
The given chart provides information on the result of a survey conducted to find out about the number of people visiting four different types of tourist attractions and the proportion of five theme parks visited in Britain in the year 1999.
A glance at the provided chart reveals that theme parks are the most popular tourist attraction, while in the opposite, it is true to wildlife parks and zoos. BlackPool Pleasure beach by far received the highest ratio of visitors in the theme parks sector.
Looking at the information in more detail, it can be seen that 38% of visitors chose to go to theme parks, 37% of them went to museums and galleries. On the contrary, only 16% picked historic houses and monuments as their destination, wildlife parks and zoos were the least popular with just 9%.
In the theme parks sector, nearly half of the surveyed had been to blackpool pleasure beach. Alton towers was the second most popular theme park with 17%, followed by chessington with 16%. Finally, legoland, and chessington had each welcomed 10% of the surveyed visitors.
