The bar chart compares the amount of minutes of telephone calla on three different categories in UK. Figures are given from 1995 to 2002.
It is clear that British people used local-fixed line more than the other two call types in each year while mobiles was lowest at the same time. We can also see that the biggest change was seem in the number of time spent on mobiles.
In year 1995, the number of minutes of local calls almost doubled the figure for national/ international – fixed line at 70 billions and 35 billions respectively, while the number of time for mobiles stood at under 3 billions. The figure for local – fixed line peaked in 1999, at nearly 90 billions which is the highest figure shown on the chart, before falling back to around 70 billions at the end of the period.
Over a period of 17 years from 1995, the amount of both national/ international calls and mobiles remained high. The minutes of mobiles rate jumped to around 45 billions above the year 1995. While the rate of time for national and international calls saw a small increase, reaching a peak of 64 billions in 2002.
