The chart below shows the waste disposal in 1 European country in four years 2005 2006 2007 and 2008

The bar graph presents the amount of domestic waste disposed of by one specific European nation from 2005 to 2008.
Overall, the amount of landfill waste was by far the most staggering one throughout the period. However, there were some prominent changes in the figure of each category.
On the one hand, the landfill where most of the disposal sessions occurred showed a downward march as a whole. Starting from a figure of 1800 million tonnes in 2005, three times as much as the amount of either burning waste or sea dumping waste, the degree of waste at landfill steadily decreased. It finally ended up ranked second in 2008, with just 600 million tonnes of total waste disposal.
The two other categories, on the other hand, reflected totally different patterns. The level of waste resulting from burning grew greatly, turning from the least common element into the highest one, with roughly 900 million tonnes. The number of disposal sessions taking place at sea was the most fluctuated one, although there was not much difference in its figure, remaining at around 600 million tonnes during the whole period.
