What stands out from the graph is that while hamburgers and fried chicken witnessed an upward trend, the opposite trend was for Pizza. Obviously, the amount of pizza eaten by Mauritian teenagers declined sharply over the period shown.
In 1985, Pizza was the most favorite junk food of teenagers in Mauritius with 60 times, followed by hamburgers (10 times) and fried chicken (5 times) which was below one tenth comparing with pizza. Over the years surveyed his kind of food lost it popularity and became the least favorite of the three in 2015.
From the least wanted food among teenagers in Mauritius, fried chicken climbed up significantly in the first 20 years before experiencing a stability and ended by a slight surge about 63 times in 2015. Hamburgers had a leap which was 7 times higher than that of the first year in the last year at over 70 times per year and make it had the opposite growth to pizza.
