The figure depicts the sales of music in different form in UK market over thirty years from 1990 to 2020. The changes in sales for four modes are shown along with their yearly revenues.

Firstly, it is observed that the digital mode of music sales started peaking from the year of 2005. Moreover the sales from this same downloaded music succeeded all the previous records in terms of generating profits for music industry. It touches a record high in 2020 by making 2,000 pounds, whereas before digital music came into market the maximum sales was from CDS, which was nearly 600 pounds.

Secondly, from the curve it is clear that both vinyl and Cassettes constituents the least revenue over the years, but with a rising trend for Vinly mode and plunging for Cassettes. The sell of cassettes nearly is on hold since 2005, the same time digital industry started making its mark.

In sum it can be said that the invention of bytes and the idea of storing loads of music in pocket have boosted the market for music among the customers.
