In 2003, 784.770 cars were manufactured in Thailand, making it the top car-producing country. This was followed by Australia, which produced 430.658 cars. The next place went to Argentina, as only 145.930 cars were made in this country.
Thereafter, the number of cars produced in Thailand increased significantly and peaked at 1.119.283, before dropping to 950.258 in 2009. By contrast, there was a gradual decrease in the car production of Australia, ending the period with 212.647. Finally, Argentina saw a dramatic growth to 413.062 in its number of cars manufactured, after which a slight decrease to 512.247 was recorded in 2009.
