The first bar chart shows the number of couples who marriage and divorces in the United State of America from 1970 to 2000, while the second bar chart illustrates the percentage of marital status of adult Americans in 1970 and 2000.
In general, the people who had married reduced during the 30 years, which divorced couples had a plateaued trend throughout 1970 to 2000. The situation of adult people except married groups had no longer significant.
As can be seen, the number of married people was 2.5 million for two consecutive years and after that in two remained years fell about 0.5 million. The couples whose decided divorce increased around 0.4 million in 1980, which decreased approximately 0.3 million and return again the same place that was 1970 in 2000. The percentage of the never married group was under 20 percent which, married group is massive raise in 1970 70 percent that in 2000 drop nearly 10 percent and other two groups no longer significant.
As a result, there were a downward trend and fluctuation trend ordered in married and divorces rates and the percentage of adult people who got married significantly was higher than other groups in the United State of America.
