The pie charts provide data about the ages of population in both Italy and Yemen in 2000 as well as a prediction for these country for 2050.
In general, it can be seen that Yemen had the youngest population in 2000 and it is predicted the same for the year 2050. The proportion of elderly people is predicted to increase in both countries over the 50 years period.
In 2000, just over half of the population of Yemen were under 14 years, compared to just under 15% of italian in the same age group. Only a small percentage of inhabitants in Yemen were over 60 at 3.6%, whereas in Italy the proportion of people over 60 were sligthly higher compared to that of Yemen at 14.3%. In 2000, people aged between 15-59 years represented 46.6% and 61.6% of the total population in Yemen and in Italy respectively.
