The charts below give information on the ages of the populations of Yemen and Italy in 2000 and projections for 2050 Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant

The four presented pie charts delineate the finger for citizens on three age groups (0-14 years, 15-59 years, and 60+ years) of 2 different regions (Yemen and Italy) during 2000 and predictions for 2050.

Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that Italy had an older population in the year 2000 and the same is estimated for the year 2050. Also noticeable is that the number of residents of both nations is projected to get older over the 50 years period.

The graphs elucidated the massive number of people in the 0-14 years age group (accounted for over half) in 2000, compared to just over 14% of Italians in the same age group and same timescale. In contrast, most Italians (61,6%) fell into the 15-59 age groups whereas the proportion for Yemeni in the same group age was 46,3%. The percentage of citizens who are 60+ years old from Italy took up for 24,1% as opposed to a mere 3,6% which is Yemeni residents in the same age group.

By 2050, the amount of percent of adolescents under 15 is set to decline in both countries, most significantly in Yemen where the figure is expected to fall by 13,1%. By contrast, the number of elderly people is estimated to increase in Yemen and Italy by slightly 2,1% and tremendously 18,2% respectively. Eventually, it is anticipated that the 15-59 age group will uptick to 10% in Yemen but plummet by around 15% in Italy.
