The charts below give information on the amount of various fruits which was consumed in a South American country between 1969 and the present.
The line chart illustrates the information about consumption of bananas, apples, oranges, and pears in south American from 1969 to 2019.
Overall, it can be seen that the consumption of apples was the highest initially ,whereas banana consumption increased in the end of the period. Further, the consumption of apples, oranges, pears decreased, while only the bananas consumption increased over a period .
Looking at the apple line in more detail, it can be seen that the amount of apple which were consumed in 1969 stood at 7.1 Kilograms per person per year, the it was peak at about 8.4 Kilograms per person per year in 1979, which was the greatest point in the graph. By 2019 it had decreased to approximately 4.1 Kilograms per person per year.
Turning to the bananas data set, the consumption of bananas stood at 5 Kilograms per person per year in 1969 , it increased exponentially where it was peak at 7.1 and 8.23 Kilograms per person per year in 2009 and 2019 respectively.
Consumption of oranges was the same as that of bananas in 1969,at 5 Kilograms per person per year. The amount of oranges which were consumed continuously fell to 3 Kilograms per person per year in the end of the period.
Finally, the consumption of pears was consistently lowest over the period. In the beginning of the period, it was started at 3 kg/p/y and steadily dropped to about 2.19 in the current year
