The given pie charts demonstrate the propotion of different nutritious substances adopted by Americans. in four periods of daytime. Overall, sodium and saturated fat are mainly consumed in the dinner, while extra sugar added to one's body largely from snacks as an addition meal, which apart from three main dishes.

One interesting point is that all nutrients mentioned share similar figures at the two earlier meals. The percentages of absorbed lipit and sweet substance for breakfast each account for nearly a fifth, whereas that of sodium is slightly lower, with 14%. It can be clearly seen that in the USA, people tend to have more balanced nutritious meal for lunch. Sodium, saturated fat and added sugar's percentages make up 29%, 26% and 19% respectively, which are almost the standard amount of necessary substances.

In contrast, the figures show major differences for the last two categories. For dinner, Americans likely to adopt sodium and lipid as majority substances for dinner, which take account for approximately 40% of total for the former and 43% for the latter. Meanwhile, the sweetness in taste of the dinner is at a low figure, only 23%, which provide healthier dishes. But that flavor in snacks is extremely high, nearly a half of the sugar consumption in a day, far more than the amount of sodium and saturated fat in the addition meal, account for nearly 20% for each.
