The line chart illustrates the distance travelled for three distinct demands in Britain in the period from 1990 to 2010. At the same time, the pie charts demonstrate the percentage of vehicle types.
Overall, it is clear that there were a number of changes in the distance and the kind of vehicles in the survey period.
Now, turning to detail, the number of kilometres travelled for transport overwhelmed in the first stage, with 6500 (km), compared to personal and commuting, just under 3000 (km) and nearly 2000 (km) respectively. At the end of the stage, although the figure still remained the first rank, this data hit the lowest point at 6000 (km). while the number of distance travelled for commuting grew moderately to 2500(km), the statistic of personal witnessed a fell slightly to 3000(km).
In regard to the distribution of vehicle kinds, in 1990, cars captured the lion’s share of the proportion with 63%, following by trucks with a quarter. There were no significant differences in the portions of buses, motorcycles and other, with their figures ranging from 2% to 6%. In 2010, while the percentage of cars declined slightly to 59%, trucks increased by 5%. Besides, both buses and motorcycles fell by 1%, whereas the category labelled ‘other’ increased by 1%.
