In this report I am going to describe two bar charts which provide information about the number of French people who communicated in a local language with their parents during childhood and taught their own children when they became parents.
Overall, the first graph describes the language being spoken habitually and occasionally in the childhood. The second chard shows the number of adults who continued that tradition.
According to the first graph, Alsatian and Occitan were spoked by around 600 000 adults daily, followed by Breton with nearly 250 000 speakers and Creole and Corsican with between 50 and 100 thousand speakers. On the other hand, Occitan was the most spoken language from time to time and the number of speakers was over 1 million. The second most preferred language was Breton with around 400 000 speakers. The number of people who spoke Corsican and Creole occasionally was around 100 000.
In the second chart, it is obvious that the majority of parents spoke Alsatian to their children (nearly 400 000). The second most popular language was Occitan with around 250 000 speakers. The number of the rest three languages (Breton, Creole and Corsican) spoken by adults to their children were under 100 000.
This ends my report.

- The charts below show the number of French adults whose parents spoke a French regional language to them when they were children and the number who speak a French regional languange to their own children 64
