Overall, it is clear to see that food industry spent the hugest amount of water in two years. The expenditure of household use experience the exponential increase in 2007.
While the amount of water used in 1997 by food industry made up almost half of total use, in 2007, this figure fell considerably from 48% to 41%. In contrast, building industry merely spent 5% of total water use, which was lower than others. However, this underwent the decrease and stood at only 2% in 2007.
The percentage of water usage in service industry made up 15% in 1997, compared with 11% in 2007. There was a remarkable growth in water spending of 2 areas namely household use and manufacturing from 1997 to 2007. This figure for household use in 1997 was merely 19%, following by 21% in 2007. Finally, before jumping to 25% in 2007, the expenditure of water made up just 13%.
