The given pie charts compare the shares of British students who have proficiency to speak on other languages. The surveyed data represents the changes during a decade, from 2000 to 2010.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is of note one third part of all university students in Britain have no ability to speak foreign languages, and by 2010 the proportion of them rose by 5%.
In 2000, French and other languages spoken students accounted for the equals shares, constituting 15 % of the total amount of students. But in a decade the percentages has experienced some moderate changes: the number of French spoken people has been increased by 5%, whereas students with knowledge of other prominent languages has kept a balance at 10% with pupils who do not have a talent for any foreign languages.
Turning to the remaining groups of students, it is apparent that rate of students spoken on two other languages except English was totaling approximately to German speaking students in the early 00s, hovering around 10%. When by the end of 2010 its quantity has surpassed the students with ability to speak in German, and that was 15% and 10 % respectively. The share of students who speak Spanish was dramatically dropped by 10% during a decade, from 20% to just 10%.
