Overall, there was a rapid rise in the number of students who can speak another language or two other languages, and English only while the rest show an opposite trend. In 2010, students who just speak English accounted for the largest proportion whereas others were lower.
First of all, in 2000, students that speak English and those who could speak another language or two were 30%, 15%, and 10% respectively before their proportion increased slightly, each by 5% in 2010.
On the other hand, the percentage of students with the ability to speak Spanish only was higher than students who could only use French by 5%. However, these two types of students both witnessed a major change, falling to 10% in 2010.
