The twi piechartis depict the proportions of British students in a university who are capable of speaking English and other foreign languages.
Overall, it is clear that the majority of the students in the university used Spanish as the most favoured foreign language compared to the other foreign languages like German and French.
The percentage of the students who only spoke Spanish accounted for less than a third in 2000, but the proportion have inclined to more than a third in 2010. In contrast, the percentage of the German speakers remained constant in both years at 10%
Moreover, the proportion of the English speakers occupied a fifth of the piechart in 2000. However, they declined to one in ten in 2010 which is half the percentage found in 2000. On the other hand, the difference between the French and the other two foreign language speakers were just 5% difference.
