The two charts illustrate the findings of the research of the mature education on the information of people's studying purposes as well as people's opinion about the sharing in tuition fee for education.
Overall, the proportion of adults taking the course due to their interest in the subject is the highest whereas this percentage for the reason of meeting people is the lowest. The individuals' opinion that tuition fee for each course should be shared accounts for the largest.
From the first chart, It can be seen that the highest percentage with 40% of adults attending the course because of their keenness on the subject but only 9% of them enrolls the course for the purpose of meeting people. The objective of gaining qualifications ranks the second in the number of the growth- up. Improving prospects of promotion and enjoying learning/ studying are the two reasons with the same percentage of mature students' purposes of 20%. 22% of the adults think that the study is helpful for their current jobs and 12% of them considers studying for their ability to change jobs.
Turning to the second chart, the biggest proportion of adults has a thought that the tuition fee should be shared accounting for the highest at 40%. It is commonly believed that taxpayer and employers ought to have the least on the courses ‘s total costs with the proportion of 25% and 35% respectively
