The charts tell us that the healthiest meal, that the people of USA have, is breakfast, as only 14% sodium, 16% saturated fat and 16% sugar is on their plates.
The maximum amount of added sugar i.e. 42% is consumed in the form of snacks, probably why we see donuts everywhere and not some bitter gourd smoothie. Apart from that, snacks mostly contain 14% sodium and 21% saturated fat.
Lunch seems to have variations of nutrients in it, maybe because it is eaten in between work time and people eat whatever is available at the moment, unless they bring packed lunch from their homes. It has 29% sodium, 26% saturated fat and 19% added sugar.
In conclusion, the unhealthiest meal seems to be dinner, so how about replacing those chicken nuggets with a bowl of chicken salad, that soda with a bottle of water, and that donut with a chamomile tea?
