The charts show the distribution of money spent on music in three different
years in Northern Ireland
The pie charts demonstrate the amount of spendings on listening to music in three seperate years in Northen Ireland.
Overall, it is obvious that Irish people in the north depended more on CDs, attending concerts and digital music rather than any other source to listen to music.
In 2005, it can be seen that the majority of the money was spent on CDs, standing at well over half. As for concerts, 31% of people enjoyed going there for music, while a very minor proportion downloaded music and used other sources, with figures of 6% and 2% respectively.
In the following three years, there was an evident decrease in the percentage of CDs reaching 41% in total. On the other hand, more and more people listened to digital music as it stood at 25%.
In 2011, downloaded music increased significantly replacing both CDs and concerts, as it accounted for almost half the sales. The percentage for CDs and concerts were nearly equal with only a 2% difference, and the "other" category remained the least used at 3%.
