The supplied charts provide information on pineapple. The bar chart compares the amount of pineapple exported by three leading nations in this field in the two years (2009 and 2019), whilst the pie one demonstrates the proportion of cost involved in the process, ranging from production to distribution expenses.
Overall, it is evident that whereas there is an upward trend in international transport of the aforementioned fruit item in countries A and C, the opposite is true for country B. Furthermore, in the second graph, distribution and retail costs account for the majority of overall expenses.
In terms of the bar chart, in 2009, country B exported roughly 4,5 million tonnes of pineapple, ranking first among other nations at the same time. This was followed by countries A and C, with the statistics standing at approximately 1 million and 0,2 million respectively. Nevertheless, in 2019, it is noticeable that pineapple export of country A witnessed an exponential growth to slightly over 10 million tonnes. The figure for country B, on the contrary, dropped significantly to around 1,75 million tonnes.
Turning to the pie chart, a large percentage of total money was allocated to distribution and retail (at 35%), nearly seven times as much as the lowest figures which are 4% for export costs and 5% for production. In addition, the other stages appear to make up between 10% and 18% of the entire cost.
