The given bar charts provide the data about weight measurements of different groups of age of Charlestown over the 60-year period. Overall, it can be clearly seen that there was a wide fluctuation in both time periods.
According to the charts, it is clearly seen that the majority of inhabitants of Charlestown with different types of age groups had an “ideal” weight class in 1955. In addition, in the last century, from the age 20 to 39 there nobody suffered with obesity, and the rate of obesity started from the age group 40-49 and reached a peak of 10% in the age group 50-59. Moreover, for weight classes “overweight” and “underweight”, there were widely variations.
On the other hand, in 2015, there was an upward trend of percentage of obese people and ended at almost 60% at the age group 60-69. Regarding “ideal” weight measurement, it witnessed a decrease as the people got older and reached a low of approximately 4% at age group from 60 to 69.
