This source of carbon along with animal’s organisms, and waste products are absorbed by the ground surface when those decay. Likewise, root respiration outcome, gathering with those sources, after a long time, turn into into fossils and fossil fuels and is taken in by ocean
On the other hand, the carbon is also released back into the asmosphere through various means. One is when animals and plants respire, and another is when humans burn fossil fuels in cars and factories. All this carbon dioxide is reabsorbed by plants and remain cycle continuity.
