The diagrams below illustrates the carbon cycle in nature.
Write a 150-word description of this diagram for a university lecturer.
The diagram presents the process of how a cyclic carbon transformation happens in nature.
Overall, carbon dioxide moves in an infinite cycle through the activities of humans and organisms. It provides necessary factors for living, notably a considerable amount of non-renewable energy.
First of all, it can be clearly seen that the plant transforms the sunlight into organic carbon through a process called photosynthesis. After that, decay and dead organisms, waste products, and organic carbon change into substances known as fossils and fossil fuels staying underneath the ground.
Carbon is released into the atmosphere at the following stage due to the two common paths. The first method is through organism respiration, respectively animal, plant and root respiration. Humans’ emissions from factories and regular activities by consuming fossil fuels also contribute significantly to the carbon cycle. All of this carbon, which is released into the air, exists in the form of a gas named CO2 and then rejoins the initial step of this infinite cycle.
