The diagram below shows the average hours of unpaid work per week done by people in different categories. (Unpaid work refers to such activities as childcare in the home, housework and gardening.)

The bar chart demonstrates the average hours of household chores done weekly by different groups of people such as between two genders or how many children does that person have.

Analysing the bar chart, it is possible to notice that, married women had much more unpaid work hours than married men among all three categories.

With regards to the married women, it can be seen that they got to do a lot of housework regardless how many children they had. For married women who didn't have children, they worked for total thirty hours a week while ones whose families had from 3+ adolescents spent almost double their times to do household works. Nevertheless, even a mother who had one to two children used up 50 hours weekly for taking care of their home.

When it comes to the married men, their working hours compared with women in the same group were much lower and didn't have any variations at all. Furthermore, the more children they had, the less amount of time they spent on household chores per week. The males who had no children took approximately 20 hours to do childcare, housework, and gardening whereas father groups with about two kids and above three kids spend 2 and 3 hours less respectively.
