The diagram below shows how the Australian Bureau of Meteorology collects up-to-the-minute information on the weather in order to produce reliable forecasts.
Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below.
The following diagram depicts various stages of collecting up-to-date information by Australian Bureau of Meteorology to do with how to gain accurate weather predictions.
As can be clearly observed from the diagram, forecasting process consists of many different phases. First of all, experts should struggle with incoming information through multiple cutting-edge technologies such as satellite, radar, and drifting buoy. Then, gathered information should be analyzed and forecasted. To do so, several collected resources of satellite photo, radar screen, and synoptic chart are exploited.
Next step includes preparing the broadcast. In this step, computers play a significant role regarding integration of enormous information which is received from miscellaneous resources. Eventually, the forecasting information must be disseminated by means of broadcasting media. Typically, TV newsreader, radio, and recorded announcements are suitable means to broadcast.
Overall, it is clear from the diagram that, to produce reliable forecasts, using the most sophisticated technologies is inevitable, whereas without these technologies weather forecasting probably would be an arduous and time-consuming task.
